The US government has really dropped the ball on handling COVID-19. FDA regulations and red tape have hobbled the response to the virus and our ability to test, treat, and prevent its spread, leading to unnecessary infections and death. Unfortunately, this isn't a new phenomenon. History, and the movie Dallas Buyers Club, shows us how.
