Tracks

Digital Solutions

We live in a connected world. To solve problems, it’s imperative one has an understanding on how to harness technology. The Digital Solutions track challenges you to present a real world problem and work with leaders in this field to develop a solution...think “Hackathon.” Build upon your skills of Creating Web Presence, Building & Managing a Website, Google Analytics, SEO, Front end coding, CRO, Content Marketing & Community Building, Growth-Hacking and Digital Marketing as we explore innovation and the changing digital landscape.

Entrepreneurship & Business Success

It all starts with an idea. The Entrepreneurship and Business Success track is for those who are looking to turn today’s great idea into tomorrow’s thriving business. Our speakers and workshops explore what it takes to be a successful Entrepreneur. Develop practical skills such as pitching ideas, raising capital, and growing your business. Hear from today’s business leaders at they recount their inspirational stories and struggles of growing a business from an idea to success.

Personal and Professional Development

Being successful in this life requires you to cultivate a certain set of skills. The Personal and Professional Development track gives you actionable advice needed to push your career forward. Our speakers and workshops focus on improving your leadership skills, being comfortable with who you are and developing your personal brand. Learn from masters in this field as you continue your journey to be a better manager, public speaker, storyteller, writer, marketer, and fundraiser.

Poverty Alleviation, Well-being, and Prosperity

It’s almost paradoxical that in a world with so much wealth, our society continues to struggle with poverty. The Poverty Alleviation, Well-being, and Prosperity track tackles this formidable issue head on. We dive into the history of the global aid industry and explore the social benefits derived from Economic Development, Social Entrepreneurship, and Mutual Aid Societies. To tie it all together, we will view and discuss the award-winning documentary, Poverty, Inc.

Urbanism, Development, and Your Neighborhood Presented by Market Urbanism

Wherever you live, your city uses archaic regulations to restrict what can be built, and for what purposes buildings can be used. The Urbanism, Development, and Your Neighborhood track is a joint effort by Market Urbanism and FEE to shed some light on the vast spectrum of land use and transportation regulations that suck the vibrancy out of neighborhoods, cause traffic congestion, and constrain housing supply to the point we have an affordable housing crisis in cities across the world. This track provides you with the intellectual tools you’ll need to make a case for liberty in your own backyard and bring liberty to your streets.

Policies for Economic and Social Progress

As we all strive to create a vibrant society, we must always be mindful of the impact policy has on our efforts. The Policies for Economic and Social Progress is a survey of hot-button policy issues, specifically, immigration, Education, Police Reform, Criminal Justice Reform, Corporate Welfare, Religious Liberty, and Environmental Issues. We explore how policy can lead to great strides forward or disastrous steps backward.

Economic Essentials

No longer should you be a slave to the scribblings of some economist and their defunct theories. The Economic Essentials track is an extensive introduction to economic thinking. Become adept at handling spurious economic arguments as we explore differing perspectives such as Austrian Economics, the Chicago School, Public Choice, Keynes vs Hayek. A special focus is on the Austrian view of Entrepreneurship and its central role in wealth creation.

Political Philosophy

Our social institutions are shaped by the underlying philosophical foundations they are built upon. The Political Philosophy track explores how varying philosophical ideas promote or hinder entrepreneurship. From Objectivism to Classical Liberalism to Conservatism to Anarchism, we uncover the moral foundations that make a free society possible.

Science and Technology

We live in a world made better by those who innovate. The Science and Technology track explores current and future trends in this every expanding field. We explore burgeoning technologies such as AI, Bitcoin, medicine, self-driving cars, environmental entrepreneurship, 3-D printing, Start-up Cities and ventures in Seasteading. We delve into efforts to hinder progress in these areas as well as ways to maneuver around such attempts.

Creativity and Commerce

Creativity breathes life into ideas. It’s creativity that makes our ideas beautiful. When free to create, human beings discover beauty. The Creativity and Commerce track examines how freedom has influenced art, literature, music, film and food in our society. A special nod is given to Hip Hop and its evolution as an organic and self-directed creative development.

FEE Strategic Update

The FEE Strategic Update track explores business related towards the operation of the Foundation for Economic Education for interested donors who have joined us at FEE Con. We will look at current and future initiatives as well as FEE’s financial outlook for the coming year. Join key members of the team as we delve into the work FEE is doing to expand upon its mission to inspire, educate, and connect young adults with the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society.
